Hawaiian food is a lot like Japanese or Chinese food. It is very diverse, though. There's a Hawaiian BBQ near me. Besides the main course, it's served with steamed white rice and macaroni salad. Take a look at what they offer.

Reply:hey monica! i had a luau party a few years ago and this is what we did. we had grass skirts, flower necklaces, lots of hawaiian food, limbo(i think), karaoke, and torch lights. we also had a big pig, but idk if that it possible for your party(cuz it's indoors). if u want anything else, ask me and i will ask my parents for what we did. oh yea! we also had a palm tree shaped cake.
Reply:fruit kabobs, tiki bar, hmm fruit punch?

Pass the Coconut

Have everyone sit in a circle. While the Hawaiian music plays the coconut is passed around the circle. When the music is stopped whom ever is left holding the coconut leaves the circle. The last person left wins!

^^ that is probaly too immature huh
Reply:Kabobs on the grill...Skewer peices of pork, pineapple, green and red peppers. Coconut cupcakes(easy to handle, less mess) and pineapple upside-down cake would be great. A tiki bar is a cool idea...you could set up a blender/juice bar deal( with the little umbrellas and skewered fruit for garnish)....Am I invited???lol Oh yeah, put on some surfer tunes and/or Don Ho music...Torches for a night party would be cool, too.
Reply:Skewer pieces of fruit, cheese, and meat with fancy toothpicks and arrange them on a pupu platter (that's Hawaiian for appetizer!).
Reply:shrimp and pineapple kabobs , buy a pineapple and cut it length ways remove the insides and fill the shell with kiwi, strawberries, grapes.
Reply:You can have a tropical beach poster, or a hawaii poster from http://www.viewposters.com
Reply:Lots of Blue and green twinkle lights to simulate water, some blow up beach toys, coconuts and a hula girl.

If you are having and indoor party, these scene setters on this page are really cool. They are huge plastic wall size murals. You buy the backgrounds and then smaller things that you can add to it. I bought these. They are so cool and cheap and really make the room look like the theme. LIke buy the sunset and then buy the hula dances to put on top of that. it is so cool.

Also for games have hula hoop contests. You can even suspend hula hoop from a tree and try to throw a tropical theme item through the hula hoop from a way back

Tableware, really pretty ones here: http://www.windycitynovelties.com/epayso...
