About Tattoos...?

i don't know if any of you guys noticed. But i've seen a lot of "sleeved" tattoos are mostly in the LEFT ARM. Why's that? Is there some sort of hidden meaning to it? Take for example in Hawaiian tradition/culture flower of the left ear means being taken while on the right ear means being single? Just curious, really.

About Tattoos...?
If you are looking at prison, gang or actual cultural tribal tattoos then yes which arm it is on may have a message.

Otherwise it is usually just the preference of the person choosing the tattoos. Sleeves arent always begun as a whole project and they develop around an existing tattoo. Other times a sleeve may be begun to cover up a previous tattoo. In these cases which arm is decided by where the original piece is.

If you want to get metaphysical about it, many people are right hand dominant and see it as a representation of themselves as they are. The left hand is presumed to be the receptive hand and is more of what we want to be and our dreams.

If you dont buy that, the right arm is the one that you stick out for a hand shake. It is the first thing another person sees of you, so why not keep it professional rather than the left.

Most people just get a feeling on which arm they want to sleeve and cant shake it. They have real reasons and reasons that they cant express and the combination adds up to the choice of left or right.
Reply:Have I noticed? No. I could care less about the location of tattooes. Is there a hidden meaning? I know that answer. People who get tattooes do so because they have a low self esteem and want to compensate in some way. As far as the left/right ear, I would say that the more tattooes are placed on either ear, the more likely the person will be single.
