Colors for my tat?
As far as the colors go any tropical colors will look good...the best I have seen is the tattoos that are the same colors as the flowers it looks more real.... with a blue green background to make the other colors stand out........ as far as the pain goes...well when I got my tattoo done there was a 19 year old getting one on her back and I suggest doing what she did...bring a friend and a pillow...she cried and was screaming into the pillow.....the tattoo going across bone will hurt...I know this because mines went across my shin bone....and I wanted to rip the mattress I was on...To clean the tattoo...well you dont....I applied A%26amp;D ointment...the kind you use on babies for diaper rash.....you just lightly rub that on and you cant put any soap on it for a week I think....wearing your clothes will be painful for a few days....and sleeping will also be problem....if you sleep on your back....you will need to cover it and it will peel after a while....most important...follow the instructions from your tattoo shop. Have fun! I am going to get my second tattoo
Reply:Honestly I would sit down with your tattoo artist and go over everything. I just let mine go with whatever he thinks would be good and I haven't been dissapointed! Search for a reputable tattoo artist in your area.

Fake tanning and normal sun tanning will fade the colors. It won't be noticeable right away but it does fade the colors.

Every tattoo artist is different with the care proccess but most are catching on to the best care and way to have the color remain the best.

After no more than 4hours of getting the tattoo you should remove the bandage then using a damp paper towel with luke warm water, lightly pat or wipe the tattoo clean.

Use a VERY small amount of Aquaphor and rub in like lotion. DO NOT use regular lotion, soap or anything BUT the Aquaphor. Soap, lotions and A%26amp;D ointment will take the color out!

You can pick this up at Walgreens or Wal-Marts.

Leave uncovered. Only cover the tattoo at night. Do this by using Cling Wrap and first aid tape.

You will want to clean and reapply Aquaphor every 2-4 hours. If the tattoo feels dry apply more Aquaphor.

I reccommend doing this proccess for at least 10days.

If you sleep on your back you'll have to sleep on your stomach until it heals.

Your skin will peel off the dead stuff. If you have alot of peeling, lightly wipe or pat until gone. If there are any blood spots do the same.
Reply:You should get purple, blue, green, or pink coloring
Reply:I can say from experience...Lighter colors take more work. They have to be put in deeper with more ink to really show well. More/deeper work means a little more pain while it's being done. Lighter colors will also fade out easier/quicker with exposure to the sun. All tattoos fade and blur a little with time and the fading is increased the more the tattoo is exposed to sunshine. Not trying to sway you away from any certain colors, just trying to give some of the facts you asked for. As far as how bad it will hurt..that depends almost entirely on your level of pain tolerance. I've heard people say it's almost unbearable on very small tattoos while others can get large and extensive work done and say it hardly hurts at all. The closer the bone is to the skin where you're being tattooed the more it will hurt. Some parts of the body are also more sensitive and tattoos in those areas will obviously hurt more. After the work is done think of the area tattooed as a fairly serious scrape or "road rash". This is the type of injury that tattoo needles cause. Follow the advice of the tattoo artist for the care of your artwork.
Reply:The first colors I think of with Hawaiian flowers are orange and yellow....maybe some pink as well.

try this site - they have tons of flower tat pics and you can print them out unlike most sites. that way you can take it with you when you get your tat to give them an idea of what colors you want.

I have a few tats and they didn't hurt at all...but I have a high tolerance for pain. good luck! xoxo
