Clothes for Maui?
Capris and tank tops will work nicely.

If you plan on going to the top of Haleakala, which I highly recommend, then you'll need to bring some warmer clothing.

I detail everything you need to pack here:

As far as beach dresses to order online, you might look into Hilo Hattie http://www.hilohattie.com/

Zappos has a pretty big sundress selection: http://www.zappos.com/n/es/d/722679172/p...

I also like the Kahala clothing line.

Hope this helps.
Reply:Buy beach clothes here in Maui as you will be able to see what the girls wear here. A lot of the girls wear short shorts, jeans, short blue jean skirts, capris, anything that is cool and comfy as today it is in the mid 80's, and cool at night. There are so many shops here, on the west side is Lahaina, with a ton of stores, or Whalers Village with even more shops.
Reply:Lands End is pretty good about having swimsuits and summer wear year round--sometimes at discounted prices in their overstocks section. Living in Hawaii, I appreciate their fast and reasonable shipping. I buy a few of their sleeveless tees every year and wear them out.

If you're trying to blend in, avoid over skimpy swimsuits. Local braddahs wear swimtrunks down to their knees, elderly Germans wear Speedos. Local sistahs surfing wear bikini tops and soemtimes rashguards with board shorts.

If you must wear pants and long skirts, wear cotton or rayon, something that breathes. Highs can be anywhere from 70s to 90s (F), lows 60s or even 50s (at which point the locals start bundling up and saying, "So cold!").

Surfwear companies like Ainokea (it's a joke, see, I no care...) and Roxy are very popular with the young folks here, but you can't go wrong with long shorts, T-shirt, and rubbah slippahs (aka flip-flops/thongs). Aloha shirts are mostly for businessmen and tourists. Muumuus are for office ladies and special occasions.

If you plan to drive up Haleakala (10,000' or 3000m above sea level) at all, bring warm layers. Even in long sleeves and jeans, I'm always, "It's gorgeous! Can we get back in the car now?" But about half the time I forget to bring warm clothes to Maui at all, and I'm really suffering up there!
Reply:The weather there rarely gets below 60.
Reply:skirts are probly best here, or baggy shorts, if you want to go visit Haleakala then bring some cooler clothing like a sweater, as far as beaches go, go to kihei, many nice shops there, then go to lil beach, where nothing is required
Reply:shop on Maui, at Hi-tech surf shop. It's a local shop with great name brands and many choices.

It should be warm, in the 80's during the day, 70's at night.

Haleakala - 50's - 60's during the day.
Reply:you can do all ur shopping there, they are obviously experts when it comes to summer clothing :)

i usually wear summer dresses (that i bought in honolulu) on top of my bikini, this way it's light and easy to get ready or take off when i'm relaxing at the beach. Light colours, white will keep u cool, maybe a hat when u get tired from the sun. Light flowy clothes will probably feel the best. Depends on what you're planning on doing. Bring some long sleeves and pants for the evening.
