Hawaiian flowers?

What is the meaning of flowers worn over a woman's ears? I've heard that the right side means she's taken, left is available, etc. What are the actual meanings?

Hawaiian flowers?
It's exactly the opposite. Just remember that your wedding ring is worn on the left hand. A flower on the left side signifies that you are "taken". A flower on the right means you are available. They like to joke about the flower in the middle which supposedly says you're taken but still looking.
Reply:You would wear a flower in your left ear meaning you are taken and in your right ear if you are available. To wear a flower in your ear is like an accessory such as wearing a earing.
Reply:The way I remember it is this:

Flower on left ear - taken (since it's the same hand as a wedding ring).

Flower on right ear - available (for the opposite reason)
Reply:Left is Right and Right is wrong. Remember that if you are a male and you are getting your ear pierced..lol
Reply:and just because it's interesting to me and might be to you, I've heard that in samoa and/or tonga (can't remember) it's considered too risque to wear flowers. . .
Reply:Flower on the left means you are taken since its over your heart. On the right means you're available.
Reply:As far as I know, that is exactly it.

Opps. Vivian D is right, my bad.
